Ingredients;
Steaks;
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup white onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef (optional: ground turkey)
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup low sodium beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced

Gravy;
  • 2 cups low sodium beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Directions;
  1. Heat olive oil over medium on the stove. Saute onions until soft and translucent. Mix together in a bowl with beef, bread crumbs, egg, beef broth, dried garlic, salt and pepper. Form into patties and brown both sides in the same pan the onions were cooked, about two minutes each side. Place into bottom of slow cooker and cover with mushrooms.
